Brit Moonen, Customer Service Officer

'What I enjoy most is the variety in my work. In the morning you never know what you will be doing that day.'

What is your job at Agrifirm?

I work in the sales office, in customer service. This is where all customers and business advisors/specialists come with their questions about invoices, orders, complaints, fertilisers and the like. If we don't know the answer, we pass them on to their advisor.

This is my first job and I have been working here since November 2020. Prior to this I studied Animal and Livestock Farming at HAS University of Applied Sciences in Den Bosch. That is a very broad study programme. I always found the course on nutrition very interesting and this is how I ended up here. At the moment I am not doing a lot with nutrition, but I hope to be able to continue to advance, for example toward nutrition or quality management.

  • Could you tell us something about the team you are working with?

Our team is very diverse in terms of age and character. I very much enjoy that. This way you can effectively help each other. We get along very well together and we are all helping each other. Our team currently consists of 14 people. We have different teams: Southeast, Southwest and Mid-west. Each team has three to five persons.

Customers in the region first reach the telephone switching centre. You know these customers. You know what is going on there and who their advisor is. This is also nice for the customer.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

What I enjoy most is the variety. In the morning you never know what you will be doing that day. You are confronted with different questions, so you never know in advance what you have to sort out. I also enjoy the cooperation with other departments. In case of an urgent order, you have to consult planning, for example, and in case of a payment deferral request, you need to be in contact with accounts receivable.

I also very much enjoy the atmosphere. It is very pleasant. As I said, we all help each other and you can always ask anyone anything.
