The Challenge

Agrifirm is looking for a Global Technical Lead Poultry, to join our Strategic Portfolio Management Team. You will be the global expert and ambassador for our poultry nutrition and management solutions. You will provide operational/practical technical support to customers (farmers) and partners worldwide, translating complex nutritional and farm management insights into practical, value-adding solutions.

You will act as the bridge between R&D, product management, sales, and the customer, ensuring our poultry solutions deliver optimal animal performance and business results. 

This is a hands-on role that requires a solid understanding of poultry production, from hatchery to slaughterhouse, combined with strong technical and communication skills.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Technical Support: You will translate the sales account plan into a strong technical value proposition. You will develop tailored proposals that will help achieve customer performance and sales targets.
  
  
• Analysis of product and performance improvement: You will detect and analyze product and performance improvement areas for the customer. This includes scanning the current portfolio for products and services that could increase performance at the customer, possible customizations, detect gaps in our current portfolio, etc.
  
  
• Product & Formulation: You will develop and improve nutritional products and customizations in close collaboration with Product Management and R&D, ensuring cost-effective and competitive feed formulations.
  
  
• Customer training: You will give training to the customers on topics such as poultry health problems and how our products can be a solution. 
  
  
• Customer visits: You will visit (potential) customers or partners globally, together with the sales team, discuss their needs and propose solutions from a technical point of view.
  
  
• Market & Technical Trends: You will monitor technical trends and emerging needs in the poultry market and proactively share these insights with internal stakeholders. 
  
  
• Documentation: You will provide data and information to the product manager to make commercial and market related documents, and to maintain a qualitative nutritional database related to feed formulation information.

You will report to the Specie Lead. 

What’s on your resume?

• You have preferably a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Animal Nutrition, Poultry Science, Veterinary Science or a related field.
• You have at least a couple of years of experience in farm management, poultry nutrition, or hatchery operations.
• You have a solid understanding of the full poultry production chain (from hatchery to slaughterhouse).
• You are fluent in English. Other languages like French, Arabic or Spanish are a big plus.

• You have a strong analytical and problem-solving mind, with a hands-on and pragmatic approach.
• You are comfortable working in a multicultural, international context. You are willing to travel internationally up to 30% - 50% of your time (depending on the market needs, projects, …).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are key in this position.
