The Challenge
Within the Business Unit EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) we serve a diverse worldwide clientele, including feed mills, integrators, home mixers and distributors by offering a wide range of products in young animal nutrition, functional feed ingredients, premixes and concentrates, and nutritional concepts. Additionally, we provide a variety of services and tools designed to support and enhance our customers' activities.

As a regional Portfolio Manager, you translate market requirements and developments into a total Concept portfolio, based on products, services, and tools and which is aligned with Royal Agrifirm Group’s Specialties Strategy. Based on a dynamic and ambitious business plan, you create and optimize our market proposition, creating added value for our organization and customers. For this, you work closely together with our Global Specie Leads, Category Specialists, customers, and colleagues from sales, marketing, technical, digital, and R&D departments. In short, a very diverse and challenging new role with plenty of opportunities to build a responsible food chain.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the complete portfolio for monogastric animal species.
  • Initiate new business development plans based on facts & figures, market insights, and developments.
  • Actively collect market, product, concept and competitor knowledge to strengthen our portfolio.
  • Initiate and define innovation projects to create new propositions or expand existing ones in close collaboration with Global Portfolio Managers.
  • Coordinate and follow-up of new product and concept launches.
  • Manage and control the added value and life cycle of the products and concepts.
  • Define and support the annual marketing calendar in cooperation with Sales and MarCom departments.
  • Support our sales teams in customer relations and partnerships through strategic thinking, knowledge sharing, organizing trainings on applying our concepts, developing new customized concepts, and setting up trials.
  • Maintain connections with academia, suppliers, and key customers to continuously gain insights into market needs and new developments.

In this role, you will report to the Market Support Platform Manager.

 

What’s on your resume?
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong business drive. Furthermore:

  • You have 5 or more years of experience in a similar role (preferably in EMEA).
  • You are experienced in managing a portfolio of concepts (nutritional products, services, tools and digital solutions).
  • You have marketing knowledge and a strong interest in pigs & poultry husbandry and nutrition.
  • You are fluent in English (both written and verbal). Other languages are a plus.
  • You are data-driven and have the ability to make internal and external (financial) analyses.
